Haven vs Reliquary of Souls (World of Warcraft)

Haven's first kill of the major cockblock known as the Reliquary of Souls. Ugh. Amongst the other shortcomings Haven has had to deal with, it feels good to finally down this bastich! Considering we just did this at the near end of a night before a total instance reset we'll have to do this all over again to perform any attempts on Mother Shahraz, heh. Ah well, hopefully that wand will drop next time.


Notes:

-For phase 1 we have a couple hunters run in to take the first couple Fixates while everyone else gets into place.

-Since healers can't heal on phase 1, they just dps. Priests and paladins, sadly, aren't allowed the luxury of full-on dps since they usually have to shield those getting fixated and cleanse the Soul Drains (you'll see me frequently using Mass Dispel in this phase).

-We used a prot warrior to tank in phases 2 and 3. You generally MUST have a prot warrior for phase 2 because the Deadens the boss casts periodically need to be spell-reflected.

-Raid groups are generally packed together so that they can be in easy range to receive the max benefit from AoE healing in phases 2 and 3.

-Holy priests with Circle of Healing will WTFPWN in this particular encounter, especially during phase 2 (mmmmm 2k+ CoH non-crit....). There were 3 in the raid on this particular night. It was a glorious spam-fest.

-Phase 3 has proven to be a major threat-cap issue for the dps. What we ended up doing was having one tank grab the boss, then having the prot warrior taunt it off thus causing Seethe. No dps occurs during the ~10 seconds it's up. By the time it wears off the dps goes all-out balls-to-the-wall. This is the phase where you blow the major cooldowns (Shield Wall, Heroism, etc).

-One group (group 5) was very healer-heavy, containing all 3 holy priests, a shadow priest, and a lone mage. During phase 3 one of the holy priests (me) would focus on keeping the group alive with Prayer of Healing, leaving the other healers worry-free from their own welfare as they kept the other groups up.

Yeah, it increases all healing by 100%. Trust me you'll be needing that extra heal for the dps since 50% of all damage they do is dished right back at them. Heh.

awesome video. have some of you people saw the wow cheats pack on warcraftbotsXinfo (replace X with .) ? it is awesome, i recently down loaded the pack. it's got totally every thing in it, gold guides, bots, hacks, glitches and even the new arena glitch. i perhaps shouldn't tell people about this but at least this gives you all a fair opportunity to obtain it before i pwn all of you
