well I cannot say that I usually go to Revelle for my Tractors, I know that AMT usually sucks for it's cars and pickups, but they usually pick up with the heavy trucks, a situation I havn't had with Revelle or Monogram, which angers me, the main problem I have had with Revelle or Monogram for the heavy trucks is the lack of tire detail, I hate it

@seenotmytube I have one cartrailer from Revell Germany that is also an old kit and that had cellophane round it too ... seems that they used that years ago but for some years they just tape the box with a round stickerseal.
It's sade that they don't believe you with that course my brother made that truck&trailer and that is great kit too !
Would have been a awesome combo together.

I have that tow truck in my collection. I bought it from a hobby shop years ago ( the shop is no-longer in business) but it is still sealed. I don't want to tear off the plastic wrapper but after seeing your video, I hope it has all the parts. Thanks for the video!

spiffy haha cool. i recently built a AMT white freightliner was missing 2 small parts. i know the frustration, REVELL want you to show them the parts you dont have, to bad you dont have any photos of it when you first opened it up. even then i dont see them replacing a kit.

Great video! Actually, this can happen with any kit. This just happened to involve the one you bought and is not reflective of all the same kits. However, there are some kits which have an actual production flaw, so all of those would be affected even with all the parts. I also had a 1970s issue White Road Boss from AMT which had half of the hood missing. You could see the styrene had not filled the mold all the way when it was injected. You would think this would be caught by AMT. Oh well!

I have both of those kits and they come out very nice but I did not have any problems with missing parts.

thats grap thay wood not even sale the parts to you

Have you built the Amt peterbuilt wrecker? I'm satrting one soon . It's my first skill3 good luck on your truck. Hope all works out

Have you built
Just a word of caution. Unlike many American kits, Revell of Germany kits most often were NOT boxed with cellophane over them. This is usually a sign that someone repackaged the kit. Cellophane is not a guarantee that the kit inside is straight from the factory. I personally know of situations that people or businesses have repackaged kits, often missing parts. I have purchased two of these kits. The only one that was missing any parts was purchased from a dealer who said it was so.

@seenotmytube Now that's interesting information. And it does appear to be what happened here. And likely the reason the dealer wouldn't play ball with me. I do have much better contacts now.

how much does it cost?

@radiocontrolpimper Yea, that was why I was upset. It was 100 bucks! But that was like 10 years ago.

Actually I decided to go with the Chevy Titan 90 as a complete replacement to pull the hauler. It's a recent re-issue and it sure looks good.
