This is 1 of my m8s dads mini at the mini event at santa pod august 09 which won the event from standing start running a 9.90 1/4 mile run crossing the line at 148 mph.
the car was built by Tony Wilson and Mike Thomas at CYCLONE MOTORSPORT.
the vehilce was built from custom tubular space frame and was up and running in 25 days!

@LIP15 yea i do know how turbos work do you know how a rotex works? i work with those every day for the last 3 years... turbo's are the way of the past to me anyway.

Why go turbo? Seems like a completely pointless question..... to go faster?
Do you know how turbo's work?
The exhaust gases flowing through the exhaust flow past "fan baldes" which are connected to another "fan balde" - which draws air in, and pushes it to the throttle body. Then because its forcing more air into cylinder [thus raising compression] you can add more fuel - and THAT is how you tune an engine. More air - more fuel - more power.
