  • I'm wondering if this was shot with a GYHD110U camera by JVC? Whatever it was shot with, it really has a beautiful quality to it. Looks like film to me. Marc

  • Very good, Marc. It was shot on the GYHD110U. I think it's the best look just short of a varicam.

  • I'm honored that you'd respond to this Edgar. I'm not nearly on the level you guys are at, but, I've always liked Panasonic, Sony and Cannon, but Wow!!, you achieved terriffic results with this JVC. To me, the production, camera angles, lighting, etc. is top flight, but you know, you still have to have a camera that can "cut it", and I think you've succeeded. Thanks for the remark. Marc.

  • Good eye Marc!

I'm the Director of Photography for Beyond the Forest, and this was my first HD110 shoot. I've always been a Panasonic guy, but the JVC cam did a very commendable job. I was very impressed with it's sharpness and image, and the scene files are so detailed that I was able to achieve most of the look we wanted in camera, with only minor tweaking needed in post.

I gained alot of respect for the HD110 making this film.

  • Wow!!!!! That's impressive. You've done such a good job on this, it really has a kind of film look to me. Great lighting, etc. and I'm not sure what ever else you did to achieve this, but you certainly did a great job on "filming" as it were. Marc.

  • Great job. I look forward to seeing more.
