I have well over 130 Big Country live concerts. Only on two of them do they perform Flame Of The West. I thought some of my fellow Big Country fans would enjoy this.

  • One of my all time favourite BC songs, great to hear it live but it's a bit muffled, were you hiding the tape recorder up your jacksie?

  • I got this in a trade from a fellow Big Country fan. I have no idea who the original recorder is.

  • Glad you liked it. I wish the sound quality were better, but this one is of better quality than the other live version I have.

  • I, corresponded, (sorry for the faults!)

  • Yes, I do enjoy! Stu was a pen-pal of me and corresoonded with him 'til he left us.

  • amazing badly rare live i had to dance long live bc

  • Ah . . . those nights with my yellow Sony Sports walkman listening to Steeltown in the 80s. These searing riffs coupled with sagely, inspired lyrics, a guitar virtuoso and one of the tightest bands ever.

  • in some parts of this song marks drumming sounds like galloping horses .dont notice it as much on the record.but still one of the many hidden depths to steeltown the best album ever recorded.

  • "Look out for that stranger if you pass him on your way" . . . . how fast is this being played? no wonder this is a rare live track.

  • Best song ever, hard to play live but they managed it!

  • First time i can hear it live!

    Many thanks to you.

  • Man, I used to have so many of these concerts (received in trade as well) and lost them in a house fire. It's so awesome of BC fans like you to post them on here so I get the chance to hear them again...CHEERS!!

  • I love Big Country, but my one complaint with regards live recorded shows was that they played similar sets on every CD.I would heve loved to have heard this one and Bang the Drum and 7 Waves with great sound recording. They have so many great songs they should have showcased them better.
