I wrote this song after a big fight with my girlfriend and she left me for a whole week. I was really depressed and I turned to playing the piano which I used to do when I was upset or if I felt lonely. I think it's a good way of channeling negative energies into something positive and constructive. I thought about writing a song to woo her back and this was the result. The main inspiration of the song was, believe it or not, Janet Jackson; what I was trying to do was to write something that I imagine she would sing.
