While overall infant mortality rates have declined over several decades, Birth defects and Prematurity have still remained one of the leading cause of infant deaths.

This is Landon Marc. He was born at 35 weeks, weighed 6lbs and was 18 inches. However as healthy as his weight and height seem he was faced with a battle to fight for his life. he was born with TEF / EA. Unlike normal healthy babies his esophagus was in two parts and not connect. his upper esophagus was a blind pouch and his lower esophagus was connected to my trachea. When ever he swallowed his own saliva or even attempted to drink anything he would aspirate into his lungs.

Just 12 hours after being born he had his first surgery his G-tube was put in lace for feedings. At 4 days old he went under major surgery to repair his TEF/EA. The day after surgery he went into respiratory arrest because his repair had a leak and caused his lungs to collapse. He is our little Miracle sent from the heavens above to bring us laughter and joy in life. Landon spent a few months in the NICU. Because of his birth defect he has dilations done every 3weeks to stretch his esophagus for he can be able to solid foods one day.

Landon, is 21 months (19 months correctional age) he still needs to have his foods pureed into baby food consistency. HE still has a few battles to fight but is doing far more better then the doctors expected. He has come so far that we know god has a great purpose for him. With his amazing smile that brightens up your world and his amazingly good looks.
