they played this last night in pittsburgh. what a moving performance. thinking I like acoustic strawbs even more than the electric. Dave L is such an incredible guitarist, and his talent really shines thru in the acoustic format. love thses guys!
Thank you so much for this incredible view of Dave Lambert's ever-increasing perfection as a bridge between his guitar and the essence of what music can do to the soul.
I don't know about other cities, but in Toronto you can always talk to them after their shows. They're very approachable, Dave Lambert in particular. Talk to them. Buy them a beer. But you need to bring your own pen for autographing. I reminded Chas Cronk of something I shouted at him when he was playing with Steve Hackett decades ago, and he was kind enough to claim he remembered. Nice guy, Chas.
I think the original duet was Cousins/Hooper, and Dave Lambert does an outstanding job on the Hooper part in this performance. Add in Brian's brilliant guitar solos, and this stands out as a stellar cut.
Great song, one of my favorites tho i prefer Hooper singing.Check out Fire which Dave Lambert formed back in the 60's-another great band.I always thought the Strawbs were crap but over the past few weeks i have really got to like them n i m going to see them 2nite for the first time-cant wait!!
