This is my side work, cutting on a john deere la 105 with a 42" deck and a 20 hp v-twin briggs and stratton engine. It works real good and has enough power to drive full speed through tall grass. I hope to save enough money soon to get a z turn scag mower. I've been so busy with two jobs lately but wanted to say hello to all the guys out there!

  • For a person to start a small mowing bisness is this a good mower to start with

  • @CATERPILLARkid yep i started with it a year ago and have made many thousands of dollars off it, cuts very clean and neat...I will say that for an extra 300 or sometimes 250 you can get the la115 which has foot pedals for reverse and forward which is alot better than the actual gearshift everytime you have to back up and turn around a tree, etc. so we're talking about 1500 compared to 1750

  • i have a dixie chopper 27 hp v twin zero turn and i was mowing like 6 inch tall wet grass just a min ago but i said its to hard on the lawnmower even though it wasnt losing any rpms i just said it will be better when its dry

  • @joeldude76 awesome i love dixie choppers, do you know why no one seems to be selling them nowadays here in florida? at my job i also use a hustler super z 61" that will go through brush or tall grass with no hesitation, very fun

  • Nice work! Glad to see you are still making vids!

  • haha, i'm doing more watching than making, but you have definitely stepped up your game

  • I have the same one with the 19.5 HP - Don't know why they change the HP?

  • @packerblade i honstley have never even heard of dixie choppers until my dad bought one for our house we had a 42" 1998 husquvarna at our old house to now 1 acre of grass then we moved now 7 in a yard that surrounds our house so we had to buy somthing different the dixie chopper mows it in about 5 hours our old one took 20 lol it was an all day chore not now but yeah i think theres only a couple places in mi that cell dixie choppers but i love them there tuff and awesome

  • You could always take pics of the garbage trucks you see on the highway (I'm assuming that you do landscaping at several different locations) and you could start a Flickr account and put them there like most of us... first 200 are free then it's like 25 dollars a year for unlimited pics.

  • oh and btw... You should also look in to doing leaves and bush trimming or mulch. Both make great money and could be very helpful.

  • you can go on there website and go to dealer locater... Also you could look at a deere 900 series commercial ztr.
