I live in London UK and have played guitar for many years. Have now started to play the banjo and you are an inspiration. I get so frustrated with learning frailing, but when I replay videos I get my enthusiasm back. So thanks a million.
One question......Do you sometimes strike a string up when playing so fast.

Hey Patrick that was a great overview of frailing. I find that phantom hammer-ons are actually quite easy, much easier than hitting the correct string with my right hand, especially for blues hitting the 3rd fret. That 4 finger hammer-on takes a long time to learn, so quit showing off :) Those of you considering participating in the next retreat, its worth the trip for one on one learning and good times with good people.

Patrick, glad to see some really good more advanced stuff breaking out of the basic frailing strum, you and your dad are the very best tutors in this style.
