Don't be stupid. I am Canadian. It does not work like that. You Americans really are easily fooled by healthcare companies propaganda - you do not even make an effort to see past their ulterior motives.

you must be trying to make a political point rather than a practical one because even with the smallest amount of research it's not hard to see that the history of socialized medicine is a step backwards at best and euthinasia for the edlerly and the seriously ill at worst.the free market and the pursuit of profit have brought excellence and progression to the human condition where as socialism/communisun (central government control) have taken away motivation for people to strive to be better

So it's okay to support industries and contaminate and pollute our water, air and land, but it's not okay to support equal health care access for everyone..hmm...a step backward?

I read your post. I didn't ask you to support any argument. You have a myopic view on healthcare reform. Our government supports all kinds of industries that affect our health. The government should support equal access to healthcare for everyone. Yes, healthcare is a right of all the people, not just a few. I don't equate socialism to communism. Start thinking community and a government of the people, by the people. We will always have taxes, so let's use them for humanitarian causes.
