Oh, I just LOVE Daniel Roth, and this glorious instrument. It's hard to beat Daniel Roth on a Cavaille-Coll!

I practice my improvisations well before performance.
Have never heard an impressive improvisation.

He opens the loft to people after communion to demonstrate on one of the finest instruments in the world.

Nowadays organbuilders can't even stand in the shadow of cavaille-coll He is still unprecedented even some organsbuilders like van den heuvel in the netherlands who proclaimed he build like cavaille-coll doesn't come even in the neighbourhood.

I like the sound of the reed stop that enters at about 1:30 !
Could it be a basson 8'?
I played this organ back in 1982. It was the most fantasic organ I have ever heard and played !!!! Wonderful sound. The curators ( Sebire and Glandez) were very kind to let me play for a very long time. I played Widor's Toccata from 5th symphony. They pulled out all the stops for me !!! This tidal wave of thunder rolls down the church and comes back over you. It is mesmerizing. Thundering basses, brilliant reeds and mixtures. How could someone build such an organ ? Cavaille-Coll was a genious.
