    The answer lies in having a bigger perspective. Fracking as a methodology is a symptom of a much larger issue - diminishing resources in an increasingly overconsumptive society. We as a culture have somehow convinced ourselves that our model of perpetual "growth" is a birthright, and use it to justify short-sighted solutions to perpetuate the illusion that we can continue consuming.
