@myshtton1 The Exlipse's engine is absolutely anemic...

I know right? I expected oh so much more.

Old nissans are awesome

Each time you step on the gas is like sex.

Stupid fart can ruins all vehicles

@monkeyfukinacoconut And that's only when it was brand new, or at least freshly rebuilt. 30+ years of wear and tear in the engine, transmission, and rear end is gonna bring that 170 down substantially.

i love the fuel cell man! looks intimidating. i need to spend some TLC on my worn out suspension and get mine set up for the turns like yours

@III280zIII 170HP at the flywheel you mean. about 130 at the rear wheels.

got my self the straightest 260c datto for 2grand my dad made sure it was mechanically correct sounds and looks great
...what sucks the most, I had to sell her a couple months ago...it hurts seeing her load up on someone elses trailer and then it kicked in even more when I realized that she wasn't ever coming back...it's good tho cause she'll get raced regularly now, like I was building her to do...good SCCA/Grand Am, wheel to wheel road course racing...I still miss her on ocassion!

will a stock 1978 280z beat a 1995 Stock Eclipse GS non-Turbo 2.0 Dohc?
BE ONEST! lol

Probably not due to the difference in eras. As the Eclipse isn't the fastest thing on the road, it's newer technology; plus the DOHC vs. my SOHC plays a big part too. Like I told someone before, it's set up for cornering fast to make up for the lack of straight line speed on the track.

It's stock under the hood, so whatever those specs are. The handling changes that I've done for the corners on the track make up for the loss of time on the straights.

hey i assume you're not running the stock manifold so what headers are you using and what size pipes?
Sounds amazing

Monza header into a 2-1/2" pipe (not looping over rear transverse arms, but going right under them) into the Magnaflow. I let her run a little rich (the little smoke seen), just to be on the safe side; I'd prefer to foul a plug than run her lean and ruin a perfectly good motor! Glad you like the sound, I love it because it doesn't sound like every other import on the road!
