The Pantheon - Minecraft Roman Temple by TomBuilder

This is my 1:1 scale Minecraft model for the Pantheon, the famous Roman temple. Just like my other creations, it is intended to be as close to an accurate representation of the real building as possible given the limitations of 1-meter cubes. I spent a great deal of time researching the dimensions of the structure, especially when calculating the dome. Yes, the entire structure was built one block at a time in Survival mode with cobblestone that I branch mined nearby and baked in many furnaces at my sanctum. And because I know people will ask, the video was shot with a mod that allowed me to fly, although I never used any mods during the actual construction.

I also did not use any other third-party programs to help me plan this structure, not even the dome. Being a bit of a MS Excel wiz, I did all the calculations myself, splicing many worksheets within the spreadsheet together to act as all the different layers of the dome. A few of the side passageways are likely not entirely accurate, but after searching for days on the internet for reference material to shed some light on them, I had to make the best guess I could.

The dimensions are as close to the real Roman Pantheon as possible, given the necessary constraints of the symmetries that I wanted to preserve.

Inner Dome Diameter: 45 meters
Outer Circle Diameter: 59 meters
Maximum Length: 83 meters

The Pantheon has always been one of my favorite buildings, having the largest dome on the earth for nearly two-thousand years, beating even St. Peter's Basilica. This project took me about a month and a half of work, from mid May 2011 to late June 2011. Please feel free to look at my spreadsheet plans that I have included below, although be warned that they are not intended to be user friendly. Also, I will upload my Pantheon for you to download, but not for about a month after the uploading of this video to help protect my interests.

@EpicNinjaBehindYa um, nope. I'm afraid the Pantheon is very, very Roman. :-) Perhaps the 2nd most famous Roman building, next to the Colosseum.

How did you do the dome? Can you email me the blueprints/ whatever that can help me make the dome? It's 'cause i'm making my own in my server... BTW, DIAMONDS 2 U sir!

@WoRlDcUpFaN12 The dome plans are linked in the video info above. Don't forget to click on the various tabs through the different layers of the dome. The first layer is the largest, at exactly half the height of the room. All were calculated on the spreadsheet using x^2 + y^2 + z^2 = r^2.
