What a fantastic course! I'd love to have a go-round in my B8S4! You're lucky to have had the opportunity!

@blatitude No, i haven't =(
It's in my list of "things to do before i die".
Hopefully not the last thing to do before i die :P

Nothing like a lap of the Nordschleife!

@blatitude That's good to hear. My practical/realistic dream car when I was in my early 20's was a e46 M3, but after driving two (tests) and then testing the Audi's...I must say BMW has beefed up their power but got really slack in comfort/style/quality of materials. Got plans with the car? or going to keep it stock? I think all I'll do to mine when I get it is a hidden valentine 1 and a radar/laser jammer.

heh, looks like you guys were having fun.
That said, i'm pretty sure i would've passed you on even a honda accord :P
My advice is, learn the track on Gran Turismo 4 or 5 (or better yet, enthusia since that game has more realistic tire grip and physics) and then give it another whirl ^_^

@saintkamus14 thanks for the comment. Ye I didn't really want to go onto the track with any expectations tbh, so didn't attempt to learn it, as from what I've read, that's when you get caught out, and your technically not insured on that road. I'm kinda getting the feeling you've not been? As the whole atmosphere, adrenaline etc takes over even just in the car park. It's more intimidating than it looks :)

Nice job ! Nice car too ! Is your S4 Stock ? And what about the breaks after your lap ? I also own a B8 S4 but I hesitate to go on track...

Thanks, ye it was stock. I was experiencing brake fade after about the third corner! Though I was too heavy on braking and accelerating on account of not knowing the track at all.
Good thing about the s4 is unless your a complete maniac your going to stay on the track. The bad thing is you know your going to stay on the track, ie its almost too good and takes a lot away from the driver.
I bought a 993 911 shortly after this video for (partially) that reason!

Thanks for the post. I can tell you were holding back quite a bit....completely understand. My suggestion is, keep practicing..and maybe you can even get a driving simulator to familiarize yourself with the track. Nice car btw, I plan on buying one when i move back to the USA

yes mate absolutely holding back. Those blind bends and crests eh ;) . I purposely didn't try and learn the track on sims as I knew the rep of this place and hacking a 40 grand car around it with no insurance was a concern :p am considering a track car now :) BTW the s4 is an awesome everyday car, not much quicker across distance than these. Ive owned the v8 and the b5 rs4. This one ownes them all.
