  • perhaps some people from youtube could start a citizen's group to do a line-by-line reading of the bill, provide some commentary on it, and try to figure out what is written in it.

After all, two heads are better than one... that's the thing about politics: if you want your side represented, organize some kind of citizen's group around your position

  • True, all those people who know nothing about the plan are crying over something that can help them in the long run.

  • @jwlnler has this happened yet... ? i still dont think that people know or understand what is in the bill....

  • white republicans disagree with democrats whether its right or wrong...the war cost billions of dollars and kill thousands of soldiers without a reason and here the democrats are trying to save ppl in need but the reps dont like it

    reps want ppl dead.

  • That dumb lady in the greed shirt at 2:51 do not even know the meaning of socialism. She was just there taking up space. These folks were shooting themselves in the foot and thinking they were doing a good job. They scream about wanting their country back as if Obama stole it from them. They forget that he was elected by the people of this nation. I for one want to see how his administration will plays out before I say he stole something like Bush did.

  • americans amaze me, when bush and his cronies screamed: lets go and throw a trillion dollars at the arms industry, they all jubilated, but if it comes to things like , social systems, they scream, no, america is rich, if the money is low now, thank the presidents who you voted in, (bush) why does anyone in this day and age need abortion? there are contraceptives, or are ppl too stupid to use them?

  • americans tend to cling to phrases they picked up some place, they are not very informed, Obamas system works well in europe, why are the fat cats screaming like this? and so what if small biz has to pay for insurance? its normal in europe, if you cant afford to pay ur social dues, ure out of biz, simple, or u just employ part timers, At the height of wall street, everyone called for privat insurance, where is it now? without tax money, there wouldnt be any pensions, ever thought abt that?

  • Those people you're talking about (fixed income, who are cold and can't eat) -- they better not get sick!

  • Lol.

The USA is a third world country. Frightened by decades with buzz-wording like "SOCIALISM" or "COMMUNISM". No US citizen has an idea what those words even mean. Their opinion is a delusion from hollywood and neo-con-media. Don't trust the pharma industry and greedy hospital lobbyists. They are your masters. Visit other countries, and think again.

General practitioners pay about $200,000 a year in malpractice insurance.

Consider just for moment what it would cost for an honest physician in one year just to break even.

Tort reform. Put a cap on lawsuits, and your healthcare costs will go down.

Greedy CEOs? I think that you should rethink your position.

You are fighting the wrong battle.

Btw, healthcare is universally available to the poor in this country.

    Smart girl.

They already tried to sneak both bills through, and wouldn't surprise me if they did it again with Cap and Trade. The saddest part is that most Americans don't even know about the energy tax.

The energy tax will really hurt our economy. I think if most people knew that the govt. was about to tax EVERYTHING once again they'd be pissed.

Cap and Trade is an energy tax, too bad if you're on a fixed income and just want to heat your house this winter and maybe eat.

  • Shame on you, CBS. 7 minutes dedicated to this issue (wow) and not one word about tort reform.

Here's a question: Does Obama know what's in the bill? Has he read it? Has he read the CBO reports? Why doesn't CBS ask these questions?

And without laws regulating insurers profits, there will be no controlling health care quality and costs. Why doesn't CBS address the greed of the insurers?
