  • I know this isnt the place to ask, and people might take it the wrong way...but a 99+ TA is totally my dream car, one thing that is kinda holdin me back is i live in Illinois now, and i dont know about driving these in the winters we have, and i dont have enough money to buy 2 cars, lol...any input?

  • @joedawg87

its funny you mention that, because i live in illinois too. I did garage it in the winter while i drove the wifes cobalt and she drove our big SUV.

Sadly, i have gotten rid of the car in the video :-( but thats only because i've moved on to making a project vehicle. Definitely not recommended to drive in the winter though

  • theres gotta b a cheaper way.

  • yeah there is, you can get pacesetters and watch them rott out in 1 year.

    Stainless > everything else

  • how good is it on the road?

    how much was the headers?

and do they leak or anything??

  • headers were pretty pricey- over a grand. After i got it tuned, it made a helluva difference. Full exhaust + drag radials i ran a 12.7 quarter mile. I reused the gm steel gasket for the headers and they do not leak. Sound is great on the road- doesn't have a loud drone to it cruising, but sounds MEAN when you get on it.

  • god damb that thing sounds stout. Thanks for posting! i just found my nightly lullaby

  • @Quatermain98526 Nothing is wrong with a TA being a dream car. A dream is something that will make you work hard. TA was my dream car in HS, bought one at 22 sold it by 23. Now my dream car is an Italian car. That is a dream right there. And it will make me work my butt off to get there. Ive owned nice cars since my TA but nothing worth mentioning since its not the dream car.

  • @Herps85 What the fuck is wrong with the TA being his dream car? TA is a damn fine American machine. I'm much happier with him saying TA, than a Civic, Accord, Camry, or any other foreign piece of shit.

  • Now Let's see you light that baby up !!! GIT-R-DONE-SON !

  • @BoomBoomStockings1

You have a 4th gen TransAm in your back yard? If you dont mind me asking, would you sell it? I love f-body cars and cant let one go to waste if I can help it???????? Send me a message if you still have it!

  • NICE RIDE

  • @joedawg87 The Trans Am was a dream car of mine too. I always wanted the 1979-1981 version or settle for the 1993-1996 version. I'm stuck with a broken '99 version of the car. The car still runs, the trans won't shift past 2nd gear unfortunately.

  • I have one of these sitting in the backyard after my brother drove the crap out of it and fried the transmission. It just sits now because I'm unemployed and don't have the cash on hand to fix it. Maybe one day I may be able to or I'll just donate/junk it but I'd prefer to try to fix the car.

  • @RedfoxTwenty Pacesetters are actually pretty good. One of the guys that comes to our monthly F-Body meet has had Pacesetters on his for 5 years and has had no problems

  • @joedawg87 Complete agreement lol..Well now i have a 2002 T/A but trans ams in general are my favorite for those reasons..and im 18 =p..and yes i did work for it! lol xD
