  • Beautiful!

  • The Cloisters took twenty years of work. Junion Rockefeller had "great vision and planning" in his gift ( The Cloisters )

  • 沒有這樣的閒工夫 沒有閒錢飛去 聽聽 說說 也不賴! 這樣珍藏品 有不少是趁亂從八國聯軍的手裡搶走的吧!

  • This is a really nice video that gives a good impression of the Cloisters. Next time I'm in New York (I live in the Netherlands), I most certainly will visit this museum. The only thing I wonder about is whether the medieval books are part of the exhibition.

  • The Musee de Cluny, National Museum of The Middle Ages - Paris ,Is better, more real.

  • At 8:50 You had to wait so long? The Royal Manufacturers De Wit was founded in 1889. Yvan Maes De Wit, its present director, represents the fourth generation of tapestry restorers and dealers of fine antique tapestrieThe Royal Manufacturers cleans, conserves and restores tapestries. It is today’s the leading restorer of tapestries in the world for museums and one of the leading restorers for private customers. The Royal Manufacturers De Wit is situated in Mechelen (Flanders) " Nice site"

  • "This was the early day's of oil painting, whitch was kind of a new invention at this point " Yes that is true. It was Robert Campin 'The master of Flémalle' (Mérode tripliek) (Flemish) who invented this technique but it was Jan and Hubert Van Eyck (Flemish) they made the technique commercial and popular . Ever heard of "the Flemish Primitives"
