This Jazzy flavoured first movement written in challenging 10/8 meter is based on the traditional Kalinga "Salidumay". The second section of this movement, which is used as interjections to the entire movement, is from the popular Sinulog Ati-Atihan dance. This theme is developed to explore the use of different tonal color of both the orchestra and organ with interrupting humoresque lines of the previous theme.
The piece was commissioned for the 35th International Bamboo Organ Festival and is part of the growing series of compositions for the said event.
Composer Organist: Alejandro Consolacion II;
