ghillie suit

My pre-made woodland BDU ghillie suit for airsoft.

I bought this on February 2007. At the time, I didn't feel like making one from scratch. I chose woodland because the Sonoran Desert is really green during the winter months, and wearing lighter colors would make me stick out like a sore thumb, especially at sunset as when this vid was made.

I filmed this vid around 6PM on March 3, 2008, in Phoenix, AZ, I decided to do the vid later in the day because I only wear this suit at night when its cold, as this jacket is heavy and can get really hot.

For my demonstration I deliberately stuck the tip of the barrel out to show that we are not just filming the tree as this suit is very effective.

This suit is of very high quality, is military grade, and made by TRU-SPEC. It is fire retardant and has reinforced pads to make crawling and lying very comfortable. You can lie down all game if need be as it is very comfortable.

I bought a matching woodland Rifle Wrap to cover my highly upgraded Tokyo Marui VSR 10 G-spec softair sniper rifle.

I respect those who make their own, I was considering making a summertime lightweight ghillie from scratch.

Remember, to get the premade suit to blend in "It only works if you work it!"

Most of you will never understand but there are things you can buy and things you can't. You can't buy a ghillie suit. You make one for the environment you are in. Its difficult and time consuming but the results are astonishing. But it doesn't really matter because your ghillie suit is hiding you from weekend warriors with plastic guns and plastic bullets. When you wager your life on not being seen, you'll put a little more effort into it. It fits your purpose though i guess.

If some vet was out hiking around and saw him they probably wouldn't be able to tell that is air soft... and he'd probably end up with a few .45 rounds lodged in his body... who agrees?
