The abortion debate heated up in the halls of Capitol Hill and on the House floor itself. As Michelle Miller reports, the bill will now go to the Senate where it will face more heated debates.
@jwofford1947 I can Bite a piece of skin off my hand and spit it onto the floor. For about half a day, that skin would be alive rendering it "human life" as it does have my genetics. This, as you pointed out, also holds true with a sperm and egg cell. They are indeed "human life" but they are not "a human life" Only upon fertilization does it become a human, no matter how young and undeveloped.
The fact of over a million women in America alone killing pre-born babies by abortion conclusively ends the Victorian myth of female moral superiority once and for all.
your misunderstanding of politics and the obama administration is sickening, your use of rhetoric and quotes is inelegant, and your overall message is vindictive and irrelevant to the issues to which this forum is supposed to address
Consider this: Morally, there is no difference between a fetus of whatever stage and a newborn baby. Practically, there is a HUGE difference. Sometimes practicality should guide the decisions of lawmakers and judges (especially when it affects the health the woman) more than morality.
"life begins at legislation" - yes, but arent the cells of sperm and the ovum also considered life?
I also believe that emotions should be left out if you want substance in a debate. yet, i cringe with fear and remorse at the idea that a woman who's been raped should ever have to bear the child of her rapist. that simply disgusts me. these decisions should not be made for them by government.
I am also a used-to-be-pro-abortion man who no longer would want an abortion in a personal situation, but again the passions of pro-lifers shouldnt, through legislation, limit this moral
Look, I'm a twenty year old used-to-be-pro-abortion man. I've recently changed my heart. I don't deal in emotions when debating, I merely look at the facts. It has been proven over and over that once the egg and sperm combine, they form a new (and much different) life form that is indeed a human being. Life it tough. Hard resolves must be made. Life starts at conception, and that's the bottom line. Oh and did I mention life's not fair. So even if a woman is raped, accept that they now home a kid
@vampscamp
Think of it as an act of philanthropy.

(continued) choice of the individual.

And now dear little children, who may this story read,
To idle, silly flattering words, I pray you ne'er give heed:
Unto an evil counsellor, close heart and ear and eye,
And take a lesson from this tale, of the Spider and the Fly. by Mary Howitt 1821
