Josef Lhévinne was one of the finest pianists in history. Sadly only a handful of recordings exist of his playing. His technique was immense and his art suave and masterly.
This is a recording of Chopin's Etude in A minor op.25 no.11 from 1935.

This amateur is not bad... Why didn't he pursue a career as a concert pianist? I guess when you happen to come during the golden age of piano -with the likes of Horowitz and ect ect ect ect- well I can see why you wouldn't dare to try and compete!
Still this guy is amazing! Just came in the wrong time. ironically, if he was alive today he'd be considered one of the best... Cause this is the lead age of piano.... lol

He was not only a pianist,he also was very good musician and he play not just notes like everybody on youtube!he play philosophy.
His technique was godly.

I wish someone had locked him up in a studio those days, and let him record everything he could play.
