Given enough time and money, we could do all those things, and probably a lot quicker.

Arc lights? From a battery? Naaaah. Takes too much voltage. The lighthouse? How about a (fish oil) flame augmented by reflectors.

I did some reading about what it would take today to built such structures. In my opinion, i don't think we could ! The same applies for the statues of Easter Island

and Stonehenge. The technologies and knowledge needed to buit them is astonishing.

The same logic applies to how they discovered electricity !

No it's not the egyptians ! Who then ? Well, i don't think anyone has an answer yet.

Johnny ... Well done !! It is scary ... first person to realize my statement on thermodynamics was off point ... great work, it shows you take it serious what you believe in. I respect that. However my point was not made with thermodynamics it was a red haring i threw in to see if we had any properly educated people here and it showed. Thank you you are correct.

Question to you all: When you reverse OUR spiral galaxy what are the number of years it took for us to be here ... 22.7 mil or 13 Bn

No, Darwin did not deny evolution. This is a rumor that was started by Elizabeth Cotton and it turned out she was lying and she never even met Darwin. It wouldn't matter even if it was true because we now have evidence for evolution, it doesn't matter what Darwin said or didn't say. We don't just believe in evolution "because Darwin said so", it's not like Darwin is some kind of god whose every word must be believed and obeyed.

Stop believing creationist rumors on the internet

Why do you creationists insist on using this argument about the second law of thermodynamics? The second law of thermodynamics only applies to closed systems. The earth is not a closed system, it's continually being fed energy from the sun. The second law has nothing to do with evolution, this is just a pointless, ridiculous, desperate argument that you people won't let die.

It's easier to disprove something if you know what you're talking about. You have no idea what evolution is other than what a child would learn in primary school and cartoons.

As for the thermodynamics argument, I've had one of my professors (Institute of Technology in Lausanne) take time to disprove it himself. Now who will I trust... Hmmm...
