How the hell can they expect you to be scared when you're duel-wielding machine guns? Even if I can't kill it I can but a few clips in it before I die. Shooting until you hear clicking releases the pressure of horror, and lessens the impact. It's a bad design choice.

@Mekose Most the scares in FEAR games really have nothing to do with guns. They're jump-out scares, unexpected and leaving you edgy of just when something is going to flash in front of your face, fully aware that any combat item they give you is completely useless against it. Shooting until you hear clicking really just means you've wasted an entire clip shooting the floor.
