Golden Sun: The Lost Age Editor 2nd Anniversary v0.3 Teaser

Two years ago today the first version of the Golden Sun: TLA Editor was sent out into the world, here's a video to celebrate the anniversary and show what's in store for the future.

If it weren't for the fact that my video editor didn't decide to actually work until the day before I may have been able to do something that didn't completely suck. Of course I also blame my video capturing software, after all it doesn't even show that the cursor actually does change when you hover the mouse over a text field.

And yes, that message at the end of the video does mean that v0.3 is expected out sometime this month in case there was any confusion. Some stuff shown is still WIP so it there may be differences by the time of release.

Congratulations, Atrius. Nobody ever set foot that far in Golden Sun hacking. You're the first one to be there, and I think It must be an amazing feeling to finally break the code and find out that it actually works! I understand that GS coding may be really complicated [especially those damn classes], but if anybody's going to make it, It will be you.

@Roareye Classes? I've added an auto button for their element type setting in v0.3 so now your main concern is just making sure an existing class doesn't have the same requirements, and take priority.

can i hack psyenergy using this?if i hack something like...short sword make the attack 900 and i continous the game but the short sword still not + 900 why it same like i hack map i enter the map and it still the original map :*

How do you change the direction of a sprite? When i go to the "maps" button i want to change the dullahan sprite for the one of briggs, but all the sprites i change face to the right. How do i change this???

Whenever I try to start the editor it just says "Unexpected error occured when running the game" However there is nothing wrong with the ROM. Is thera a special folder, where I have to put it, or what?

Yes there is, just don't do whatever you did to erase all your pictures and other documents next time, that's a completely separate problem from extracting the files inside a .zip archive. Also, I can't tell you where to get the file, that's pretty much rule #1 of ROM hacking.  As far as compatibility goes, the editor's purpose has been to edit The Lost Age since v0.1, of course it'll work. Compatibility for the original Golden Sun didn't come until v0.2 though.

Step 1: Extract all of the files to the same folder.

Step 2: Go to "File" > "Open" then select the Golden Sun file that you want to edit, which is not included with the editor.
