My Case for a Creator #3. This video explores God as a being or organism. If God exists, then surely he must have some form of measurable presence. The theory here explains that measurable presence and how it could work. Though of course all credit for this argument goes to my friend, in this case, it is a sound theory that I now consider myself subscribed to and it fits perfectly with the other videos in the series.

  • The unfathomable vastness of universe personified as a single being, okay. God is like all the laws of physics, alright that'll work. I believe in the laws of physics, I'm onboard, it is a pretty logical trail here as long as there isn't another step, just don't bring anything else into it that is totally unconnected to the-oh damn, The Bible. Damn. This vast universe is is designed for humans? Even though its mainly deadly to humans except for a few land parts on one speck of a planet?

  • @CorndogMaker Never mentioned the Bible, never mentioned Christianity. What video did you watch?

  • Guys I see you are very intelligent, but I invite you to read the Bible then you will be sure that God exists, read in order if you want to,Israel is a testimony that He is true,Jesus is the most great testimony that He is real, and also the persecuted Christians are His testimonies. God bless you He is waiting for you all.

  • @antoverovic I'm a Christian. Check out my channel, it should be pretty obvious if you do. My friend obviously isn't, but he might be getting there.

  • The best arguments for a God are those that go along these lines

However, it is quite easy to utterly reject the Bible by asking yourself "Was this written by men or God?" and reading a few minutes in Leviticus/Deutoronomy. (Doesn't matter if the laws don't apply anymore - no intelligent being would come up with that insanity).

In short: all religions we have now/have had - can easily be rejected. If there really is some divine being, this being has done nothing to contact/communicate with us.

  • Also, your "smart" friend should look into radioactive decay. Basically all of this is unsupported speculation, no more "interesting" or profound than the psychobabbling of a homeless person.

  • What the fuck? Immediately when the word "spiritual" is said, he is committing intellectual suicide. He has no basis for anything spiritual as we live in a physical world and is simply applying rigid scientific concepts into his magical "spiritual" projection of things. Worst argument I've heard in a long time.

  • Sorry, it's not E=m, it's E=mc2, which is much different. Matter can be reduced to energy, and is a property of energy, but it is no longer actually energy, and every energy does NOT interact with all other energy. These are very common factual fallacies with regard to this sort of new age pseudophysics. They are huge mistakes in the bases of this argument.

  • @ohNo231 Personally, I think God is more of a romantic metaphor to remind oneself to acknowledge the universe's total interconnectedness & polarity -- then trying to understand the natural balance of the world and its people, society and its institutions, ecosystems, etc., and furthermore rejoicing in the absolute beauty of all this.

  • @ohNo231 I don't think the term you guys were using -- "thought energy" -- exactly works with what we know about physics. I believe the term "collective conscience" doesn't imply a sort of hive-mind scenario where everyone can feel/share each other's thoughts, but something more like the psychological phenomena Genovese syndrome.

  • Much of what you guys are talking about as far as the connection between physics/energy and spirituality starts sounding like Eastern philosophy. The Hindu concept of ' Om ' and other similar ideas recognized the constant energy / vibrations of the universe thousands of years before science. There were also some monks who were aware of microorganisms and would carry around brooms to sweep clean the ground in front of which they would walk.

  • Infinity cannot be measured, ofcourse other by than yourself, by experiencing it. But then ofcourse you must be infinity. And this is really the esoteric core of all religion. Which really is dualist, not pantheist. But that God created you with himself. (consciousness). And the cosmological argument really states that infinity must be nothing. So that supports an eternal divine soul, also a collective consciousness. Transcendent knowing all about itself , in eternity. :) Creating everything Pce

  • Stoners.

  • @antoverovic I do not require you to explain yourself fully as to why you believe, because I know that you can't. No one with faith can. That's why it's faith. It's like believing in a alien abduction, one just does, no explanation needed. The problem with your god's word is that it isn't his word, it is the words of a select few men. Would you dare say that someone who kills his best friend so he can sleep with his wife is god's choosen and is righteous, just because of his faith?
