Technopolis is a stopmotion animation created for our IAT 202 class (New Media Images) at Simon Fraser University, Vancouver BC.

The context of the film is based on The Serif Fairy, The Little Prince, and . Each world that the hero-characters travels is based upon different communication or media devices, as a reference to our society's obsession with technology and it's Catch-22 ability to connect and isolate ourselves in terms of our humanity.

The theme of the entire film is related to retro video and arcade games, utilizing details of progression within each level and Super Mario sound effects. The term 'technopolis' essentially translates to "a city with high-tech industry; room full of computers; literally, the Internet."

The entire film was produced and post-processed using Adobe Creative Suite, various recording sound devices and video cameras from the SFU Surrey Library, paper craft origami skills,.and a digital camera.
