Bill Maher's usually a fairly nice guy. There's a reason why he seems condescending here. In a past interview, Craig cut Bill off because Bill was saying something Craig considered "offensive." If there's one thing Bill doesn't like, it's when people don't speak their mind. If there's one thing Bill probably HATES, it's when other people try to take away his right to speak his mind. So, Bill probably got a little irked that Craig cut him off during a past interview.

i think Bill has pretty good views on religion, just think how rediculus greek mythology is to us or how crazy the Ancient Egyptians religion was, thats how people are going to think about Christianity thousands of years from now, if we are still around.

i cant blame for cuttin off maher at times, he is from scotland and europeans tend to be more cautious about religion, race issues

@icharisghost I think sometimes you do. You simply aren't paying attention to what is going on in the world if you think that religion is merely a harmless, personal delusion. And your objection to people calling out the flagrant irrationality that is religion only serves to shelter the pious. If you object to challenging religious extremism then ultimately you stand on a continuum with it.

@Cblotnicky What he's attacking is the essence of faith. The 'religion' you seem to think is not so bad is only results when people in effect become less religious. It consists in ignoring and rationalizing embarrassingly stupid and immoral parts of the Bible, for example. Or when they grudgingly accept the findings of science that contradict their faith. Or when they accept Enlightenment values over Biblical ones. And on the point of the necessity of bashing faith: open your fucking eyes!

It's because the last time Bill got kicked off the show and I think he's probably the only one to get kicked off in Craigs history, but Bills just not meant for public television. He's just not lol.

What he's attacking is only partly 'relgion'. He's actually bashing people who believe something different from his own beliefs, and thats pretty damn hypocritical coming from a guy like Bill Maher.

Craig is so much more gracious than Bill. Its true religion is a bunch of crap but you don't have to be a dick about it.
