I'm not a particularly big fan of the ACLU, but Mr. White here is just funny as hell. Here's a little more perspective from my own dealings with the police: you don't have to bend over backwards and shine the policeman's shoes. Just be yourself, try to contain any resentment or hostility that you may have. Instead of cursing the officer, be a wise guy, be sarcastic, just don't cross the line. As an old Italian sonofabitchin' prick barber once said: "Be polite, but don't kiss ass."
