Roujiya is a cozy and modern (yet distinctly Japanese) family-owned guest house in the heart of Kyoto.

We are situated in a quiet area just a short walk from Nijo Station and close to......
- Many historic sites, including Nijo Castle
- Huge market for local people
- Delicious restaurants for local people
- The biggest 100 yen shop in Kyoto

When you use a bicycle, you can go anywhere in Kyoto city!
We offer a bicycle rental in our guesthouse.

We have a good connection for trains (JR, subway, Hankyu line, Keifuku line), so you don't have to take a bus (it is too crowded around the touristic area) .

Roujiya offers a sense of calm, community, and harmony - just what life in Kyoto is all about!

We offer fun and inviting lodgings in the heart of a tranquil Kyoto neighborhood - not a round-the-clock party. We aspire to provide guests with a uniquely Kyoto-style ambience, and peaceful relaxation is the order of the day. Our evenings are calm and restful. So we have curfews and bedtimes, because of being in a traditional area where neighboring buildings are mere inches away, we ask guests to keep noise levels down, especially after dark. If your picture of a great time in Kyoto involves staying up late into the night and partying hard, we strongly suggest that you to seek accommodations elsewhere.

In addtion we don't offer the children fare.

Available hours.
8:00-11:00, 16:00-22:00

We close the guesthouse from 11:00 to 16:00 because of the cleaning.
You could leave the baggage between 8:00 and 11:00 without any contact.
If you'd like to do so in an outside hours(11:00 to 16:00), there are lockers in the Nijo Station(both JR and subway) , BiVi(shopping mall near the Nijo Station) and Omiya Station(Hankyu Line).

Only two people are running.
So thank you for your cooperation.

We'll claim the cancellation charges if you don't contact us after 22:00 on the check-in date.

We don't accept credit card.
We require full payment upon check in time.
