It's not that we're too lazy to deal with this nonevent and political science, it's that it hasn't been proven, and people with conflicts of interest (meaning they've already invested in carbon offsets and carbon markets) stand to gain millions if they get their way. I want the science before we start talking about money, and that seems to be the only thing anyone wants to talk about. Just give us your money, we'll fix it! We promise....... while we fly our private jets. ;)

current CO2 levels are at 392 ppm, within 3 years they will hit 400 ppm, a level not seen for millions of years. global warming has the potential to defrost antarctica not in centuries or even decades but years. antarctica is connected to every tectonic plate around the world. when trillons of tons of ice are removed it will rise out of the ocean by as much as five miles and crack the earths crust. this is not a doom and gloom prophesy, this is science. we are going to need a lot ot trees.

@mphello I'm sorry, you must have mistaken me for someone who implements policy and can give orders to go around bombing things. I'm not the President, nor a General. I can't just 'leave' Iraq and Afghanistan when I'm there. I'm all for bombing China, Saudi Arabia, Iran, North Korea, Venezuela, France...a long list. Actually, we go nuts over civilians who take a shit all over us for what we do, we don't need anyone to wipe our ass.
