@qwnyx ya it is pretty cool that they survive that long, they can withstand the weather cause of there double layered coats, there have been reportings of siberian huskies surviving in -50. and alaskan malamutes can surive a little lower its really facinating. there cool dogs :)

wow. i'm so proud of those dogs. i mean, they're so strong and they've got high spirits. more than 100 days, on their own? how id they survive? out in that freezing place!!! are they still hopin that they'll be rescued? i badly wanted to adopt those dogs. ;))

In the real incident 1958 only 2 out of 25 survived.
They ate the remains of the dead dogs.
That was not suitable for a Disney movie I guess.
