Top 5 Male Entertainers of 2008

Today were counting down the Top 5 Male entertainers in the business right now. The men rounding out our list must have it all: success, smarts, personality, good looks and of course talent.

First man or almost-man were talking about is an emerging triple threat. Zac Efron sings, dances, acts and he seems to have solidified a number one spot in the hearts of teen girls across the globe. Efron says future plans include focusing on his acting career, and that he definitely does NOT plan to record an album. BUT, industry sources say Zefron will play the lead role in a new version of the popular dance movie Footloose----so perhaps we will see the 21-year-old lace up his dancing shoes one more time.

Up next on our list is someone who might seem a bit unexpected, but we here at Clevver think funnyman Jimmy Kimmel is sure to go down in the history books as one of his generations most entertaining men. His late night talk show has pretty much rececitated the sometimes-stale late night lineup. And if we get lucky Jimmy Kimmel may even take over Jay Lenos seat when his contract expires. Kimmels hosting expertise and hilarious antics put him at the top of our list and most importantly we can see him having some serious longevity in the biz---maybe hell live forever and be the next Regis Philbin.

Speaking of longevity, the next person on our Top Male Entertainer list is one of the oldest, or shall we say most mature, and easily among the most talented people working in Hollywood today. Clint Eastwood is reminiscent of Old Hollywood in a way that makes him mysterious, sexy and captivating all at the same time. He continues to make and star in films that score big at box offices and award ceremonies. His upcoming project Gran Torino is already generating serious buzz, and its rumored that Eastwod may be ending his acting career with this film---we sure hope not!

No male entertainer list would be complete without the man who single handily brought sexy back---Mr. Justin Timberlake. JT began his all out entertainment take over back in the 90s- on the Mickey Mouse Club where he performed alongside fellow pop stars like JC Chasez, Christina Aguilera and Britney Spears. These days he continues to prove himself as an actor, dancer, singer, restaurateur and fashion designer. It truly is entertainment overload—I and love every minute of it. In my opinion what truly solidified JTs top male entertainer status was his Emmy nomination for his performance on Saturday Night Live, when he put his you know what in a box...at only 27 years old, Justin Timberlake is already a veteran. His well-rounded talent and gracious nature score him a spot on our Clevver list.

Last up is a male who entertains fans in every way imaginable. He is a musician, actor, producer, television show creator, business mogul, fashion designer and philanthropist. Talk about a mouthful. And I think hes had different names for each of the jobs mentioned. Currently he goes by the mantra of Diddy! Sean Diddy Combs does more to entertain us than should be humanly possible and he does so successfully. To top things off Diddy manages to fit in time for the most important job of all-Father to his five children. Hes raised millions of dollars for various charities and he sparked the Vote or Die campaign. For all these reasons, hes landed a solid spot on our countdown.

I agree that Zac's all those things. But all those 5 things also apply to JT. PLUS - he's also a philanthropist, producer, golfer, model, designer, etc., and D*ck in the Box originator. SO I think he deserves the top spot.
