Rats are adorable! They make amazing pets but are very smelly, I can't stand the constant drops of urine... only reason I wouldn't have again. I hope my Sun Conure, Lola, grows to be as beautiful as Leo. She is starting to get yellow now. :)

@becaro0nie Parrots are way cooler, but rats are definitely a fun pet. Lower commitment too, since you don't usually need to write a rat into your will. I wouldn't ever expose a bird to a rat again, after reading about it a bit, rats harbor a bacteria in their saliva and claws that birds can't fight off very well.

So if you had the choice, would you go for the sandwich prepared without gloves by a wild human, or lick the ass of a domestic (and therefore virtually quarantined) rat?

Personally, I'd take the sandwich, but I'm not really sure if that's the best choice... I know exactly where the rat has been, and I can catch fewer diseases from it.

@thewr0ngchild Instead of saying "Rats will strike an kill anything that isn´t a rat." you should just say "rats will strike and kill anything." Because they do also kill other rats.

One of my brother´s friends had two rats who were brothers and had always been together. One day the one killed the other. I admit that they weren´t treating the rats the way they should be treated, but they tried their best. (They kept them in a small hamster cage and only let them out for an hour a day.)
