I get that car now.
You have a ball socket with lots of friction so it holds in place. There's a gyroscope mounted on the top. Thats how you conrtoll the thrusters. Cool idea!

It's une GPS at the top, a GPS at the bottom, the machine is frozen in place with the physics gun :)
