Hi, thanks. Yes it is very retro because it was my jazz TV show in the early 70s in Iran. I got the idea of jazz cello from two guys who jammed in Hollywood in a club in the late 50s. I don't play cello, but I can play anything I get my hands on, so I did this piece after returning the cello to a more sensible system. Those were the good old days before rock wiped out or messed up jazz, when people used triplets and understood chord changes, before the ugly thumping took over. Dr. Lloyd Miller
