Ultima Keyblade Supanova 2008

The Ultima Keyblade, weapon from the videogame world of Kingdom Hearts 2, brought to life in all it's glory and shown to the convention goers of Supanova Sydnery 2008.

60 inches long, weighing 4kg made from particle board and plywood. It took approx. 152 hours to contrusct spread over 19 days (and for all you die hard fans, yes the keychain is missing)

Well the fans loved it and offers for their own keyblades came rolling in. Hopefully this much enthusiasm will be shown on my next projects (schedualled to be Circle of Life)

I just have a few questions, what wood did you use to make it? How did you cut out the smaller parts of the detail? (If you used a jigsaw please explain, i had a bit of trouble at this part).

I made one myself but it is garbage compared to this.

One last question, how did you get the two pieces separated?

No keyblade can be held with two hands, sora puts his left hand over his right. The handle is perfect.

the one problem i see with this key is the handle.. its too small for two hands. its supposed to be big enough for two hands.. Other than that you did an EXCELENT job making this keyblade.. i want it so bad..... also how did you cut the holes out in the center of the stencel.
