There is a movement to attack and make religion look bad, crazy and undesirable. It's not only attacking JudeoChristianity, but Judaism, wicca, paganism and anyone who believes in god or gods.
The U.S. Constitution, however, guarantees every person the right to hold religious views without fear of being harassed.
It is an act of sophistry to suggest that Dawkins would want you to adopt his opinion merely on the basis of faith, how can you fear someone that preaches 'think for yourself' unless that principle itself threatens your religion.

Sorry you did ask a question at the end and the answer is no. If your true fear of atheism is another Stalin then to avoid it it would probably be best to have a gradual movement of religion away from politics and dimish its social importance rather than letting a person fill the void left after a previous divine ruler has been removed.

You managed to talk for nearly 15 minutes without saying anything. So what if Dawkins or Maher are harsh with your precious cult, if you truly believe in the righteousness and accuracy of your religion then all the criticism in the world should not harm you. Keep it to yourself if you don't want people to talk about it.

@OppressedAnarchist Religious nuts have killed almost no one. Take a look at how many millions killed by the atheist Stalin. Tens of millions. Stalin's depraved atheist police were steeped in the beliefs that human life is just chemicals and close to worthless. As a result, they surrounded the Ukraine in 1932 and starved to death 7 million innocent people. ,

@Bourtini Ok now we're getting some where. Lets shift our hatred away from one another. You believe what you want, and I'll do the same. BUT what we do agree on, is that something is totally Fu@#$ng up our way of life. How do we come to terms and agree and formulate a common direction to turn around from the destruction that looms just ahead? I say Ron Paul, what do you say?

@freakman420 I'll give you abetter example:
"God does not exist, kill people", there is no purpose driving the resulting action, it is illogical.
"I want political power, kill people", that contains a motive.
