***UPDATE 2*** The ADSEP Board has voted to retain him. We are just waiting for PERS to make their decision. Thank you all for your support!!

***UPDATE*****
ADSEP BOARD is scheduled for Monday, August 22nd. Will let you know results soon as I know anything. Thank you all for your continued support.

I haven't made a video in awhile due to two factors. One, my channel has been monitored and I have been asked to not speak out about our situation anymore. Two,because everytime I attempt to make one, I am angry. I am angry beyond words, beyond the tears that flow. I am uncertain of our future and I am terrified. This video is an update for those of you who have been following our story for the past year and for those of you who may be new to my channel or even just stopping by via search. Your positive thoughts and continued support is not only needed, but immensely appreciated. I have never been so insecure in my family's future in my life. Every emotion rolls through my heart daily: Anger, terror, angst, betrayal, remorse, mournful, and pride.

I quoted FOX news simply because they are the only news network who has covered the military's massive downsizing. If you know of any other networks that I may have overlooked, then please let me know.

Most Sailors are being seperated due to the downsizing under the Peform to Serve (PTS) and I call it a PTS Blanket, but my husband was approved. Which makes this situation even more unjust.

A medical board, which would discharge or medically retire my husband, was denied, even though the Navy is claiming it a medical reason they cannot retain him.

His board is set for August 18 or 22. We still have no specific date or time. Again, the military operates on its own timeline.

Music provided by incompetech.com.
"Wounded" is the first song, which rightly fits us at the moment.
"Plans in Motion" is the second song, also very fitting.

All opinions are that of my own. My husband had no hand in this video. My opinion does not represent the United States Government nor it's branches of military service. All pictures I have taken myself or have had permission from personal aquaintance to use.

  • As quickly as possible retain the services of private representation, legal counsel that has a specialty in military personnel matters. If the Navy is trying to get rid of your husbands position, they should do it through due process. Fourteen years is too much time to serve and end up with nothing. At the least he should be retired with full benefits. Hurry time is of the essance. Paperwork tends to get lost or hidden with time.

  • @bamnibaum He had his board on August 22, 2011. The three high ranking military members of his board heard no witnesses and only my husband's testimony and voted to retain him. A win in our favor, so we thought. But, it's been 10 weeks since that board and PERS has yet to make a decision. It has nothing to do with the Navy doing away with his position. My personal opinion is that this is purely political and PERS is dragging its feet purposefully.

  • There si no way this is legal. The president signed into act a lawstyating the military cant force out anyone whos determined fit for duty.

  • @altaqqadum96 Unfortunately it is completely. It is common practice, and a huge miscommunication between sea side and medical side. Medical deems fit for full duty, but sea side do not have adequate facilities for emergency purposes. If the detailer cannot find orders for the sailor the sailor then goes to a board where a team of active duty personnel makes a recommendation to PERS.

  • This is horrible. I've watched your videos from the first and I feel like ive watched your family grow and change to fit your lives in with all the bullshit the forces give you. Whatever happens please keep us updated, you are all in our prayers Bobbi.

    Much love as always ♥

  • @JustAPurpleWolf Thank you so much. I truly appreciate everyone's comments, especially those who have watched us roll with the punches during the last year. I will have an update soon! Promise! <3

  • WOW your husband is lucky. I was desployed to Afghanistan earlier this year. I was working in an office where some Army sgt called me and the Navy gay, and after I complained about it, i was sent to see a pscyhologist who said I had pervasive development disorder and then the VA said I had adjustment disorder but I still had to settle for an honorable discharge from the Reserves anyway.....but you'ed think the person who called me gay should be!

  • Bobbi I had no idea this was all happening, I have been missing from the Youtube world, I hope you are doing well and I am thinking of you and your family. This is so unfair!!

  • good luck to you guys, the worlds bleeding and members of the armed forces are no exception. i wish your family well.

  • @jns1953 Hello. We have contacted so many congressional leaders, including the Armed Forces committee, to no avail. My mom and his mom have also contacted folks. I've also been in contacted with a couple of reporters, but seems they want to wait until the outcome is reached. Thank you for your support.

  • Praying for you and your family. Truly sad that this could happen after serving so many years.
