Dead Rising Perfect Run 4-6: Religious Intolerance

I'm hoping that by setting the checkpoint that close to the zombie lynch mob that now inhabits southern Paradise Plaza, Nick or Rich will help reduce their numbers a bit. As long as I'm dreaming, I want a pony.

The appearance of Jennifer and her raincoat-wearing freak legion means that these cultists will now appear in large groups scattered throughout each plaza, until I either defeat Sean, trigger a certain event on Day Three, or reach daybreak on Day Three. The cultists are most notable for their gas attack, which will KO Frank long enough for a cultist to slap on a chokehold. Frank'll wake up in a room in Leisure Park that cannot otherwise be accessed; you will then be forced to battle your way to freedom in your underwear, wielding a stepladder. It's a timesink I don't need anytime soon, so I'm handling the cultists very carefully indeed. (You do need to get nailed by the gas if you're trying for PP Collector, though.)

If I didn't have it already, rescuing Jennifer would earn me the Tour Guide achievement.

Edit: A conversation about DR on the SA forums has convinced me that one of the advantages of this strat is that it forestalls "Above the Law" by manipulating the eight-survivor spawn cap. Just FYI.

Time is getting hilariously short on Another Source at this point, so I completely abandon any pretense of strategy in favor of a frontal assault. Getting a queen in the middle of my rampage is a stroke of luck, but I'm as surprised as anyone when I turn around at the warehouse door and find a parade of mostly unharmed survivors coming my way.

If I had to guess based on the audio track, Rich and Nick are probably the reasons why this worked. The beautiful thing about a shotgun blast is that it usually instantly kills zombies, but humans can weather the buckshot with relative ease. Thus, every time either Rich or Nick fired, they cleared out a big chunk of the crowd without very much risk of killing other survivors.

I wind up leaving Ronald, Josh, and Sally in the warehouse by accident, but don't have time to remedy the situation. None of them are so heavily damaged that a few seconds without Frank will kill them (a survivor at full health can survive for approximately two minutes in a room without Frank), and I can sort all eight of these survivors out during "Girl Hunting."

I hate the AI to i was killed by 1 of my own survivors since i lost most of my health 2 the covicts burt or aroan shot me with a shotgun and i died had 2 strt the game all ovr but at least I saved my PP

Oh yeah I remember those guys, ya the first time I fought them I wasted them with a mere pistol, the second time I got a little bolder with a katana, then they dusted me.Being in my boxers was no fun, I beat about 5 of them to death with a stool and beheaded 2 of them with the saw blade, then I saw the sword.I ran over and grabed it then used it to hack them to pieces.Kinda reminded me of the beginning of Brutal Legend.

wow riched saved u! i usually do NOt give him a shot gun! I mean gettign accidentally shot by a survivor does takes it's toll. I orefer a sub machine gun for him. I also love sally mills! she follows directions VERY well for a female survivor which says alot since female survivors tend to get very distracted n r slow by default. I love her when she says " just leave it to me! aahh my girl!
