This is a powerful message. We are supposed to be the government. we are not supposed to be treated like taxpaying robots. for too long, we've seen from both sides of the congressional iasle," lie to the people for their own good". we need to vote them all out and start from scratch..that includes thwe technocrat-bureaucrats..or we will see the atlas shrugged reality.

This is meant to be satirical right?

religion is a lie, and is an enemy of capitalism.

@exenrontexas What's delusional is to think that we live in a deregulated environment. Gov regs have exploded. They want to dictate everything in our lives from health care, to light bulbs, to what we eat, even declaring the air we breathe out as pollution. The only people escaping regulation are some well connected corps. Besides fraud, Enron got special favors from the gov (like GE today). Crony capitalism is distinct in the book, and in life, from free competitive markets.

@decay1861 You, sir, are in major denial. A copy of Atlas Shrugged was mandatory for an ENRON executive because they all followed Ayn Rands deluded and evil ways. You are right about one thing and that is not all corps are evil. However, the good ones are losing to the criminals in the deregulated environment. You also ignore that the government is...the PEOPLE and we are governed with the consent of the governed. Corps that break the law should be punished and rarely are.
-
@exenrontexas If your coworkers @Enron loved Rand it was probably because they identified with looters crony capitalists in the book. Enron was evil but that doesn't make all corporations evil. Laws are to protect our property and liberty from criminals in both the private and public sector. No one becomes an angel just because they work for the gov or got elected. Corporations have to succeed by persuasion. Government works by force. The only way a corp can force is with a corrupt gov.

@exenrontexas Apart from your quibbling over Madison, you've offered nothing of substance to subject your laughable revisionist history. You began by trying to justify your communist ideas with a motto that wasn't even in context. You don't respond but constantly change the subject. Go back and read the Federalist Papers, the Anti-Federalist Papers, then the Constitution. You have nothing to say. Go rant on your own page.

@decay1861 I heard you same mantra in the halls of the largest corporate fraud in the history of mankind, ENRON CORP where the passion for Rand reached rabid levels. Of course, they also wanted to weaken the regulators (and succeeded) who were working to uncover their epic embezzlements.
Excellent. Social Security is OUR Money...we paid into it. What if OUR Money was put into an interest bearing account? You would have saved $1 million dollars by the time you retire, and more. But nooooo, all the money you put in...is given back to you at about $1000 a month. Who can live on $1000 a month? No one. Its the governments to keep us poor so they can control us. Games up. Ayn Rand was Right. Long Live Freedom....Vote to Stop Obama Looting.

@james1200 Taking Social Security does not make one a "welfare queen". If the gov holds a gun to my head and tells me I'm going to participate in a Ponzi scheme whether I like it or not, I will take back that money with a guiltless conscience if I ever have the opportunity.
Ayn Rand is not my "great hero". I couldn't disagree with her more on the most important issue of Christ. She was dead on, however, when it came to smelling socialist schemes & crony capitalism a mile away.
