Can I kill it?

At what point does a baby receive the right not to be killed? We look at fetal pictures, and discuss if it's okay to kill them. No offensive pictures - although if your claims that it's not a human are true, why would you be offended anyways? But none of those.

If you are against abortion, don't have one. It really is that simple. Again, it is not up to you to tell me or the countless women of this world what it is okay to do with their bodies. You do not live their lives, and you cannot know their circumstances.

Forcing women to carry out unwanted pregnancies is wrong. Women are not baby factories.

Wait a minute. Would you grant me that IF it is a baby, abortion would be wrong under any circumstances? Then we could potentially be making some progress here.

I've made my case that it is a baby, and since you're the one wanting to kill it, I feel that the burden of evidence to prove that it's not one is on you. You can't just state that as a "fact" without arguing for it.

If a baby were to be born at an age where it is viable (able to live outside it's mother's womb) than yes, of course it is wrong to kill it. This age is about 24 weeks gestation. Even than, a baby born at 24 weeks has a small chance of survival. Around 28 weeks is when most babies are viable.

Do you presume that the fetuses life is more important than the mothers? Why is that?

So the issue that determines wether it's a person is it's viability outside the womb? Even after a normal birth at 40 weeks, it's still dependant on someones care to be viable, and it won't be for several years.

And why does location (inside/outside the womb) have any influence on what it is? isn't it exactly the same thing, just in another location?

I'd say the lives of the mother and child are equally important. But the life of the child is more imbortant than the mothers convenience.

It is not about whether or not the fetus has the potential to become a person, or when life begins. It is about whether or not a woman has a right to choose whether or not to continue with the pregnancy. Abortion is a personal decision, only a woman and her partner know what is right for them.

I'm not too concerned about "potential" life either. But scientifically and philosophically, there is no denying that the fetus is an ACTUAL human life. Are you saying that even in light of that, womens "right" to the convenience of enjoying sex without it resulting in a child should still be grasped? Even at the expense of an innocent human life? Then I submit to you without fear of contradiction that you are an exceedingly evil person.

The fact is it is NOT a baby yet. And since it is in fact "renting" a space in a woman's body, she should be able to evict it at her discretion.

You make it sound like women just go willy nilly and have abortions. From the women I know who have had abortions, it wasn't an easy decision, yet it was the best decision for them, and for their families at the time.
