When you think about it, it makes sense that RA didn't win. It was really the first time she was asked for speed like that this year. I guess there was a workout or two when she went the last quarter pretty good, but she didn't get a chance to run like that much before this race. Her recent works at Churchill have been superb, and Steve is really happy with her progress. I would say she could race this Saturday, but I would still want her to wait till the end of April or beginning of May.

@jermocide22 Rachel is like her dad, once headed in the stretch, he/she throws in the towel. Also, 10 furlong is NOT MEDAG cup of tea and so is Rachel.

Losing to Zardana is not an enormous surprise. What is more surprising to me is the crowd betting her down to 1-9. Losing a prep race by less than a length is nothing new to horse racing and we'll all get to see her best race soon. This is gonna be good but I'm sticking with Zenyatta. Good luck to both of them and I hope all goes well.

She only finished out of the money once. That is still pretty good to me. Her and Zenyatta of course are completely different horses. Some horses just don't win them all.

Rachel is still and always will be an awesome filly! She hasn't been in training very long and connections hurried her. She is wonderful as is Zenyatta! Love them both!
