DemocracyNow.org - If Julian Assange is granted asylum in Ecuador, he will become a resident of Latin America, where the trove of classified U.S. State Department cables he strategically disseminated through WikiLeaks has generated hundreds of headlines, from Mexico to Chile. A year after thousands of cables on Latin America were first released, the revelations have had different results -- in two countries it led to the forced departure of the U.S. ambassador; in another it helped change the course of a presidential election. We're joined by Peter Kornbluh, guest editor of "WikiLeaks: Latin America," a recent edition of The Nation magazine devoted to exploring the impact of WikiLeaks across the region. Kornbluh is a senior analyst on Latin America at the National Security Archive.

Private property means something in the USA? What about the DEA FBI local police going thru your home, or car, or person, wherever, whenever however they wish? The US drug war has given the US goverment power over personal property, where you as a US citizen can lose property without due process. Its the law. Ecuador,Venezuela Bolivia are countries much freeer now, than when US backed despots ruled with ruthless criminal acts upon thier civilian population.

No you need to wake up the police cant
As far as Bolivia ask white Bolivians about the racism and second class status they have under Morales.
Higher taxes while his ethnic group gets special privlidges.

Man you really need to wake up .... you have no freedom and the police can now raid without a warrant , as for Bolivia where would they be without the cia exporting their product . Only this year (not for the first time ) a plane crashed with 4 TONS OF COCAINE , a plane once used by cia to transfer prisoners and the banks that clean the money . Don't get me wrong the usa are only puppets in this and they are very good at conditioning .

Yes America where a newspaper can criticize a President without a dignity battalion won't destroy their office.
America where private property means something.
Unlike Ecuador, Venezuela and Bolvia ruled by thieves.
