A complete performance of Mozart's Ala Turka on the Apple IIgs using Activision's "Music Studio 2.0". The video is captured out of the composite video out and audio through the Headphone out on the IIgs, sorry the sound is in mono. The Music studio used the Ensoniq sound synthesizer chip in the IIgs to give reasonably lifelike sound.

  • Never liked Music Studio, neither the borrowed Atari ST look and interface, or its crummy sound quality. Ahh, but I do remember at least one or two custom instrument bank patches that really sounded great (a rendition of "Every Breath You Take" by the Police for example. Maybe I'll post it...).

Music Construction Set GS sounded far better. Ditto for Diversi-Tune, Instant Music, Jam Session or especially....synthLAB! :)

  • I have an AdLib/SoundBlaster version of this song.

  • I have the 1.0 version. Haven't used the software for almost 2 decades.
