Being Italian, I can assure you I perfectly know the correct plural of castrato; as for you, you might probably have suspected castratis wouldnt be the plural of castrato, but the genitive of castrati, wrongly transcribed for some mysterious reasons, or mightnt you? As for the substance, were still waiting for you to cite at least either just one role originally created by a falsettist in the 18th centurys Italian opera or just one case of substitution of a countertenor for a castrato, man!
