Usually most of the units are assigned before the sales centre even opens, after considerable marketing effort. The opening is for hype. Often blocks of assignments are purchased by agents to sell later, passing risk from developer to agents. No real estate exists yet, so no units are being ‘sold’; these are assignment contracts.

In this light, the Craigslist ad looking for people to line up, and the subsequent ad flipping assignments, fits this scenario.

vancouver is way to expensive ,i was born and raised in b.c. , and now feel the need to move provinces, me and my family can buy a full sized house in halifax for under 200 000$, and halifax is just as beautiful as bc is !! Try looking on mls for a house in vancouver for under 300 000 or even 400 000$ there dumps.. bc is way over rated and over priced ..me and my family will be happier living back east at half the price to buy a house

One place where a condo boom is growing is the GTA. The GTA is filled with cranes that are building condos. So many of them.

In 3 years when sovereign is finished, all those foreign Pre sale buyers will sell most of those condos to new foreign buyers who will then hold them for a while and flip them to even newer foreign buyers. Our municipal, provincial, and federal governments need to open their eyes, this can't go on forever. What goes up ALWAYS comes down.
