There has been a good amount of rain and a siphon was set up to put excess rain water on the dry parts of the lawn. Once the excess rain water has been removed, the lawn side of the siphon is stored back in the rain barrel to preserve the siphon and prevent accidental loss of rain water if the exit end falls off its perch. The compost heap has been left open to get water from the recent storms. The yard waste compost heap feels wet under foot. The top rain barrel is just about full, with a siphon whose hose goes to the bathroom window and is used to flush the toilets and water plants indoors. The large wisteria needs a trimming. The west rain barrel has a similar siphon as the east rain barrel to move excess rainwater to the dry parts of the lawn. Five petal Balloon flowers are in full bloom. Balloon flower bud showing balloon shaped bud. Silver fern (Japanese Painted Fern?). Digitalis gone to seed. Datura Brugmansia Charles Grimaldi which has not bloomed yet. Bud will appear in the fork (or crux) when the main stem splits into two separated branches.
