Part 1 of 2.
Ondrej Smeykal goes over three steps in great detail that will enable one to circular breath while playing the didgeridoo. Make sure you watch the second half of the instruction before you begin practicing.

  • very good technique, made me bit dizzy though,, thanks

  • Master Ondrej,

I feel a good idea would be for you to put video 1 and 2 together and make a number 3 using the techniques and didgeri; then maybe with the common mistakes while recapping 1-2-3.

    Just a thought, you're great!

  • Ondrej,

This is the best teaching I have ever come across. You are wonderful and thank you so much for sharing your special gift and talent of speaking and teaching. I have always tried to circular breathe but have no patience with myself. My dream is to learn to play my didgeridoo with circular breathing. Continue your great teaching video's and I will continue to learn from you!

    Thanks Again

  • tnank you for the information

  • Excellent advice...pushing air out of the mouth is the skill to learning circular breathing.

Once you can co-ordinate pushing air out of your mouth while breathing air through your nose, it's easy.

I'd say people could be fairly competent in a day, if they worked on that skill for the day.

  • Thank you Ondrej. Just one important additional question and information: What is the role of the tongue? Why does no air comes out, when you use your jaw only (6:40, 8:15)? I breath circular since 1992 and I always sense my TONGUE as the pushing element, no matter what my cheeks and jaw do.

  • Thank you very much!Explains are very clare structuré. Very good utilities for player like me .

  • Very good explanation. Nice to hear it broken down so well by a master. many thanks!

  • maan, this is good but he goes on a bit
